Valerie Harris

"Since the firm began in 2000, I have helped parents recover tuition funding and other related benefits.  As a parent who has navigated guardianship, Social Security and OPWDD, I also now help parents navigate these services."

Valerie Harris, both a Program Specialist and our Financial Administrator, has been with the firm since its inception in 2000.  She holds a Master’s Degree from Florida State University, and was an adjunct professor at Marymount Manhattan College for fifteen years.  Valerie is also a trained crisis counselor for children.  She has adult twin boys, one of whom is diagnosed with autism.  Valerie has done extensive parent training and is also well-versed in the transition to residential programs, OPWDD, and the “aging out” process.
